The 3 Ways to Spot a Good Braid
The FINS Braid Man discusses the 3 tests you can do to determine how well your braided line will perform.
Braid Test 1
The Roll Test
This first test is the roll test. See if you can roll the line between your thumb and forefinger to determine if it's a round line.
Braid Test 2
The Body Test
This second test is the body test. See If you can put the line between your two hands and form an arc to determine if the line has body.
Braid Test 3
The Overhand Knot Test
This third and final test is the overhand knot test. First tie the line in an overhand knot and then see if you can pull the line back out straight without damaging it.
